Nina Dornheim is a fashion designer with 9 years international experience in Berlin, Milan, Barcelona and New York. As a child, she was fascinated by her uncle’s garment factory in rural Germany where she first learned about the complexity of clothing production. She studied fashion design in Berlin, moved to Italy for fashion internships andstarted her first job as a designer at the Zara group in Spain. In 2009, she moved to NY and worked for prestigious ready-to-wear fashion brands as Kiki de Montparnasse, Proenza Schouler and Jill Stuart.
Recently, she created a one-of-a-kind collection called studio-842 which is inspired by the cradle to cradle design philosophy, which believes that industry can have a positive effect on people and the environment.
Nina currently works as a design consultant for designer Cynthia Steffe who is launching a contemporary fashion label sold in specialty boutiques across the US.
